Helen’s Oktoberfest is a weekend reputation with a weeknight secret. From October 1 to November 1, 2026, the Festhalle is open every night, and the quieter nights are also the cheaper ones. This weekday vs weekend guide compares the two.
The schedule
The Helen Chamber runs its 56th Oktoberfest from September 10 to November 1, 2026 at the Festhalle, 1074 Edelweiss Strasse. In September it opened Thursday to Sunday only; from October 1 it is nightly. The Chamber’s hours:
| Day | Hours | Adults | Ages 6–12 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday–Thursday | 6–10 PM | $10 | $5 |
| Friday | 6–11 PM | $15 | $7 |
| Saturday | 1–11 PM | $15 | $7 |
| Sunday | 1–7 PM | Free | Free |
Children under 6 are always free, and a Friday-plus-Saturday pass is $25 for adults. The Chamber notes prices are subject to change.
Why a weeknight
A Monday to Thursday night costs $10 instead of $15 and gives you four hours from 6 PM. Sunday afternoons are free and finish at 7 PM, early enough to drive home. The Welcome Center says Oktoberfest makes fall an especially popular time to visit; the weekends are when that shows.
At the door
- Pay at the door. The Chamber sells no advance individual tickets.
- Bring ID. IDs are checked for all ages.
- Leave the dog at home. Pets are not allowed in the Festhalle; only approved service dogs may enter.
- Drink inside. Helen bans open containers on its streets, and the Chamber has reported people trying to bring them in.
Parking on a festival night
The Festhalle is beside the free Narrweg spaces, but since May 2026 those are two-hour parking. For a full evening, park at the city pay lot by the Davidson Bridge, a few minutes’ walk away by our map estimate, or at a private lot with a posted price. The parking picker will sort them for you.
After Oktoberfest
The Festhalle’s next big nights are the Dropping of the Edelweiss on New Year’s Eve and Fasching on February 6, 2027. The full list is on our events page.
Quick answers
Where is parking for Oktoberfest?
The Chamber's Oktoberfest pages give no parking or shuttle details. The Festhalle sits beside the free city lots along Narrweg and Munich Strasse, but the Narrweg spaces are two-hour parking, so for a long evening the city pay lot by the Davidson Bridge is the safer choice.
